Kuehnle Koalas Forge Love of Literacy with Book Vending Machine
Kuehnle Koalas are enjoying reading in a fun and innovative way at their school.
The book vending machine located at Kuehnle Elementary serves as a treat for students who are involved in the Principal’s 200 Club. These rockstar Koalas are rewarded with the opportunity to have their name drawn to choose a book from the vending machine.
This book vending machine was gifted to Kuehnle on behalf of Koala Care, LLC with books donated by PetSuites Spring Klein.
“I’m so grateful to Koala Care and PetSuites Spring Klein for graciously donating to the book vending machine project at Kuehnle,” Kuehnle Principal Julia Funk said. “It brightens my day to see our students engaged and excited to choose books they love and look forward to reading.”
A Principal’s 200 Club membership card is granted to a Kuehnle student for their demonstration of one of the “Koala Ts of Success”- think safe, take responsibility, and tolerance towards others. Once students receive their card, they bring it to the front office where they are given a Koala Ts champion bracelet before drawing a number for the Principal’s 200 club board.
What a fun and innovative way to instill Kuehnle’s core values while promoting a love of reading! Thank you to Koala Care, LLC and PetSuites Spring Klein for this generous donation and for being a cherished part of the #KleinFamily.
